Whiskey Rose Saloon

Dust off your boots and get out your cowboy hats because Whiskey Rose Saloon is coming to 17th Ave this December.

While drawing off the initial direction of a Nashville styled-bar, Whiskey Rose Saloon was inspired by their great music, comfort food and the city's street energy. One of Nashville’s amazing qualities is that the streets of downtown are filled with old beautiful brick buildings, and oftentimes old faded murals and logos can be seen; reminding us of the heritage and businesses that once were. The story of each building and the lifespans it's endured over the years can add so much character to a space. Fortunately for us, the old Cibo building offered so many remarkable features that gave it personality; including the textured brick envelope, distressed barn board, worn wood flooring, and exposed window headers. Our intention was to showcase these existing features while layering in eclectic country items that paid homage to both country music and the Calgary Stampede. Additionally we worked to open up the space, improving the function, flow and vistas onto Calgary’s bustling 17th Ave.
